Our free downloadable guide to deal with Coulrophobia in the wake of the film 'It' has been featured on the Verdict website. Given how popular the film is doing, people suffering from a phobia of clowns are forced to face their faces nearly every day, on the side of buses, pop-up movie trailers, or on posters.
And given the contents of the film, no one could blame for being scared of clowns.
The Phobia Guru Adam Cox himself is quoted in the article saying:
Clowns are one of those phobias that people can manage by simple avoidance. For most people with coulrophobia they can simply choose to avoid places such as the circus where clowns may be seen. With ‘It’ being such a popular film those that are afraid of clowns will see more images of clowns than normal which can cause unnecessary anxiety.
Given that 12% of the population suffer from this phobia, he thought it would be a greatly appreciated gesture to release a guide on effectively dealing with clowns now they're more likely to be encountered in day-to-day life.
