Anxiety and panic attacks are common accomplices of a phobia. Learning different methods to relax is necessary if you want to cure your phobia. If your mind is calm, it cannot feel fear and anxiety as they are contradicting emotions. It is important to note that you should not depend on these methods to cure your phobia. They are only temporary solutions and you should contact a specialist to guide you through the process.
Here are 6 ways to relax. Feel free to try out as many as you want. You may find one that works best for you. Some will only be able to be applied in a certain location such as your home so having two or three that you know of will be beneficial.

Exercise
Exercise is known to help with depression, but it can also help with the anxiety as it distracts the mind and releases chemicals that make you feel positive. Running can clear your mind but if you’re not too keen on exercising in public you can always practise yoga in a class or even at home. If you’re short on time don’t worry 30 minutes a day will suffice.
Meditation
Meditating can boost your self-esteem and reduce the overall sense of anxiety in someone with a phobia. Practising meditation just once a day just for a few minutes will change your state of mind for the rest of the day. There are many forms of mediation but they all essentially give your mind a break from your own thoughts.
Visualisation
Visualisation is a form of meditation and there are several audio tracks on the internet that can guide you through it. Having a memory, you can think of whenever you begin to feel anxious will distract your mind. You can also ‘reset’ by visualising yourself in a certain scenario which is calming such as walking along a beach. What this does is take you out of the present moment and with it the feelings of anxiety.
Music & Dancing
This one is simple but effective. Create a playlist with all your favourite happy songs. You will quickly feel a change in your mood just by listening to the music/ It’s even more effective if you dance along-although maybe don’t dance on the tube during rush hour!
Green Tea
For a dose of positivity drink 3-4 cups of green tea a day! This may sound silly but all it is believed to relieve anxiety if taken often. Amino acids are the reason for the change in stress and anxiety levels. Green tea won’t cure you, but any small help is better than none.
Phobia Guru Panic Attack Audio
There is a free bonus panic attack management system with the purchase of the phobia cure package. This is extremely useful to have on hand especially if your phobia causes you to have a panic attack and anxiety often. You can listen on the go or at home. Either way, you can feel safe and rest assured that you are not alone wherever you go.

These methods may not be easy to apply at first, but you will eventually find what works for you and perfect it. Professional help combined with these methods will make for a quick and effective cure to your phobia and anxiety.
