These phobias are triggered by being in a particular situation or environment that terrifies you. For example, being afraid of public speaking is a situation that may find very scary. Others find being in crowded places unbearable. These types of phobias can limit what a person suffering from might do or where they might go.
- Fear Of Public Speaking: Glossophobia- Statistically, more people would prefer to die than give a speech in public.
- Fear Of Crowds: Agoraphobia- This fear normally develops in late adolescent years/ early adult years but most likely before the suffer is 35 years old.
- Fear Of Flying: Aerophobia- 25% of travellers suffer with this phobia.
- Fear Of Heights: Acrophobia- True acrophobia is uncommon but the milder form, Visual Height Intolerance is.
